Welcome to a new experience in Tullamore, Co Offaly. Introducing Chocolate Brown Urban Oasis, formerly Split Space Art Joint.

An oasis of art and creativity in Tullamore town centre. The venue showcases the local talent, allowing artists + crafters to share + sell their work through exhibitions + events.

Pop in for the fab Chocolate Brown coffee + sweet treats, stay for the fine crafted gifts, artwork, prints, ceramics, jewellery, artisan foods + secret garden.

The Secret Garden is the perfect urban oasis, full of flowers and herbs planted + gently tendered to by the wonderful hosts here.

eco efforts

The flowers in the Secret Garden have been sourced from a local nursery + have been planted and looked after by the wonderful Urban Oasis team.

There are currently multiple different flowers such as Roses and Lavender along with herbs like Indian mint!

Being the sister shop of Chocolate Brown who have shops in Tullamore, Mullingar and Portlaoise, the flower hanging baskets for all of these were planted onsite in the Secret Garden here in Urban Oasis, they are now currently on display outside each one of these shops.

Coffee grounds are used in the garden + are free to take to help customers feed their own gardens.

The coffee is sourced from Mathew Algie who are approved by the Fairtrade Foundation, Rainforest Alliance + Organic Food Federation.

Multiple community events have taken place in the oasis to support resident and new coming artists.

Most recently hosting the lovely ladies at Art Box for a Watercolour Cafe Workshop that took place in the Secret Garden + the cafe team took part in the Tullamore Lion’s Club Art Trail Fundraiser in aid of Esker Arts.

This is a creative space for artists of all disciplines to showcase their work + new artists are warmly welcomed.

The artisan food products sold here are sourced locally or from within Ireland.

good to know

Pet + child friendly, art themed colouring pages are on offer for the kiddos along with babycinnos to enjoy while parents enjoy their Coffee from Heaven.

Unfortunately there aren’t any baby changing facilities but this could be looked into in the future.

Patrons stop by with their bikes and bring them out to the garden.

The ground floor and garden are accessible, however the exhibition space above is only accessible via stairs.

Alternative catering options include a selection of vegan protein balls + a selection of gluten free and dairy free treats.
